Meet Tim Alderdice: Your instructional design partner
Discover my journey into instructional design, my passion for creating meaningful and effective learning experiences, and how my unique approach can benefit your organization.

My journey into instructional design
Hi, I’m Tim Alderdice, an Instructional Designer who believes the strongest learning experiences begin long before the first slide is developed—with the right questions.
For the past seven years, I have designed, evaluated, and transformed large-scale training programs in high-stakes government environments, with a focus on U.S. Navy accession pipeline schools. In these settings, there is no margin for error, and training effectiveness has a direct impact on operational success.

My unique approach to learning solutions
My superpower is the analytical side of instructional design. I do more than build courses—I conduct in-depth front-end analyses, develop business cases, and use formative assessments to identify the root causes of performance gaps. With extensive experience in frameworks such as ADDIE, PADDIE, and Agile, I create strategic Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M) that transform underperforming curricula into fully vetted, approved, and highly effective learning programs.
After years of remediating complex instructional challenges and driving data-informed curriculum improvements, I am seeking a remote role in the corporate or education sector where I can apply my systematic, results-driven approach.

Beyond instructional design
When I’m not analyzing learning data or storyboarding a new curriculum, you’ll likely find me hiking, golfing, riding UTVs, or building something with my hands.
I’m always open to discussing new opportunities, learning strategies, and ways to improve your organization’s performance. Let’s connect!
What I want you to remember
As a results-driven Instructional Designer with seven years of experience, I specialize in the end-to-end design and enhancement of large-scale curricula. My expertise includes conducting in-depth needs analyses, developing storyboards, and applying ADDIE, PADDIE, and Agile methodologies to create effective learning solutions. I use data-driven evaluations to identify and address instructional gaps, while delivering high-quality, fully approved courses. I am seeking a remote role in a corporate or educational setting where I can apply my systematic design approach to create meaningful, impactful learning experiences.
